2026 License Renewal Forms

If you do not have a current online account with the the North Dakota State Plumbing Board, you will have to create one, which will be linked to your existing account by your email address.  If your email address is listed on the your paper renewal form and you want to renew your license online, please follow the steps below. If your email address is not printed on the renewal form or it is incorrect, please call or email the office to add or change it.  

 

1. Go to the North Dakota State Plumbing Board website at ndplumbingboard.gov

2. Click “Login” at the top right of the page

3. Click “Create an account”

4. Enter your First name; Last name; User ID (not an email address); Password; Email address (must use the address that is on file with the office; Cell phone; Security question 1; and Security question 2.  Then click “Create account”

5. If the next page reads “Confirm your account”, enter the activation code that will be texted to your cell phone or sent to your email.  Only one is needed and it is case sensitive. Click confirm and go to step 7

6. If the next page reads “Existing account”, choose the third option, which reads “  I want to create a new account using the same email address”. Then click “Continue”.  The next page reads “Confirm your account”, enter the activation code that will be texted to your cell phone or sent to your email.  Only one is needed and it is case sensitive

7. Click “Return to online service” and enter your User ID and Password, then click “Sign In” If you receive an error message that reads “Please attempt the sign in again”, click “Sign In” again.  It may take a third time  

8. You will be taken to your account page, that will show your personal contact information; your employer information; and your licensure information

9. Under Licensure, click “Renew”

10. Please read all the instructions; update any contact information that is incorrect; answer each of the questions and upload any supporting documentation; and check the Agreements box

11. Click “Submit Renewal”

12. Then you will be redirected to the payment screen to complete the process.  There is a 2.5% fee per transaction to pay with a card
